Leo De Rosa and Andrea De Panfilis were speakers at the annual conference of the SDA Bocconi Private Equity Lab: this year's event offered an extraordinary opportunity to review the evolution of private equity in Italy over the past 20 years. Leo De Rosa reviewed the major legal and tax innovations of the last twenty years, from the family pact, the epicenter of generational planning in family capitalism, to the carried interest regulation, which has allowed full recognition of reward mechanisms for key figures in portfolio companies. Andrea De Panfilis focused on the impact of AI on M&A processes and the role of W&I policies in risk allocation between buyer and seller.
