
Alberto Russo
Founder – Russo De Rosa Associati – Law and Tax Firm, Milan
Alberto Russo, founder and managing partner of the firm, focuses primarily on financial and real estate taxation and extraordinary corporate transactions, with a focus on private equity, corporate finance, and generational transitions. He was admitted to the Italian Association of Journalists in 2010. He is an adjunct professor in the "Business Valuation and Extraordinary Transactions" course at the University of Milan, a lecturer in the Master's Degree in Taxation and the Master's Degree in Extraordinary Transactions at Il Sole 24 Ore, of which he is also the scientific coordinator. More generally, he is actively involved in publishing, including conferences, seminars, and editorial contributions for leading industry players. Among his major publications are: "Extraordinary Operations – Techniques and Practices of Business and Family Discontinuity" (2023); a book on the transfer of assets and business succession (2021); a six-volume series on extraordinary transactions published by Il Sole 24 Ore (2016–2017); a volume on voluntary disclosure (2015); a volume on debt restructuring agreements (now in its second edition) and one on business succession (2014); a book on generational transition (2012); a book on the tax shield (2010; two editions); and a book on real estate taxation (2009). Since 2021, he has been the scientific director of the new platform "Modulo24 Extraordinary Operations," created by Il Sole 24 Ore. In 2014, he and Leo De Rosa were awarded the "Tax Consulting Firm of the Year" award at the Tax & Finance Awards, assigned by a jury of leading figures from the economic, financial, and business worlds. In 2016, he received the "Firm of the Year Best Practice Voluntary Disclosure" award at the Tax and Finance Awards. He graduated with honors in 1993 from the University of Pavia, specializing in Administration and Finance. He has been a member of the Association of Chartered Accountants since 1996 and of the Register of Auditors since 1999. He has also been registered as a Technical Consultant of the Court of Milan since 2019, under no. 15677. He is fluent in Italian and English.
